What sounds cooler and more futuristic than the HTC One X moniker? How about “HTC One XL?” HTC on Wednesday said the device, first announced during Mobile World Congress in February, is slated to hit Europe in June. The One XL is similar to the international One X. Instead of launching with the NVIDIA Tegra 3 chipset found in the One X, however, the One XL will launch with LTE connectivity and a dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor. Now if you’re thinking to yourself, “Gee, this device sounds very familiar,” that’s because the upcoming XL variant is actually (more or less) identical to the device that landed in the United States on AT&T.
The One XL is expected to land on a number of carriers in Europe including Vodafone Germany, Deutsche Telekom and O2 Germany. Now, can AT&T customers get a quad-core variant of the One X? We’ll call it, “One XXL,” or something similar.
