It’s safe to say that Nintendo is enjoying at least some success with their new-ish handheld now that they’ve dropped the price and launched some quality software. Particularly, the Nintendo 3DS is doing well in its home nation.
According to Famitsu, Enterbrain (a Japanese entertainment sales data collection company) has tallied the Nintendo 3DS sales in Japan at more than six million units moved. Nintendo surpassed that mark at exactly 65 weeks at retail.
That’s roughly one Nintendo 3DS for every man, woman and child in Hong Kong. Why would we find a stat like that? Because why not, that’s why…man.
