David Beckham Makes Music With Soccer Balls to Promote New Galaxy Note [Video]

Samsung has appointed David Beckham its Olympic Games ambassador and its using his soccer skills to promote the new Galaxy Note Olympic Games edition. In the Korean company’s latest ad, the LA Galaxy star kicks soccer balls at a wall made out of drums to play Ode to Joy.

Beckham also uses the Note’s S Pen functionality to annotate a picture, which he then uploads to Facebook. I must say, Beckham’s handset snaps images a lot quicker than mine does.

The ad comes just a day after the Galaxy Note Olympic Games edition — which features a large Union Jack on its rear casing for those in the U.K. — was leaked on Twitter. Samsung later made the handset official, along with an Olympic Games edition of the Galaxy Y. Both handsets are now available to purchase from O2 if you’re in the U.K., but their international availability is yet to be confirmed.

While the Galaxy Note has been relatively popular since its launch, Beckham’s pretty face is sure to make the 5.3-inch “phablet” a fashion statement and give its sales a welcome boost this summer.
