Galaxy S III S Voice App Now Available for All to Try

Samsung Galaxy S III S Voice

If you’re intrigued by the S Voice application on the Galaxy S III, but you don’t plan to pick up the new phone, there is now hope for you to use it on the phone of your choice.

S Voice definitely looks to be one of the top features of the Galaxy S III, and there has been a lot of buzz around the Siri-like voice assistant since it was unveiled in London earlier this month.  Thus far there has been no word from Samsung if the feature will be coming to any other devices, but, as per usual, the Android rooting community has taken care of this issue for everyone.

The folks over at XDA-Developers have provided a copy of the app you can download and try out on the device of your choice.  It does seem to be meeting with mixed results as one might expect, but those on the Galaxy Nexus appear to be having the most luck with it.  One of the first notes we’ve seen is you will have to leave “Hi Galaxy” in place to activate the app as those who have attempted to change it have seen the app crash.  Imagine the puzzling looks on your friend’s faces when you say that to your Droid Razr.

This is of course an unofficial port, so your milage will definitely vary, but if your feeling up to giving it a go, let us know how you do in the comments below.
