Yet Again, Apple Files for Preliminary Ban Against the Galaxy Tab 10.1

Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1Here’s something to brighten your weekend: Apple has reportedly filed for a preliminary injunction against the Galaxy Tab 10.1 here in the U.S., and the company might get its wish. It seems Tim Cook’s cronies legal cronies gained a bit of confidence following the win against Samsung’s slate in Germany. Will the legal battles between Samsung and Apple never end? According to FOSSPatents, this is actually Apple’s second go at the Galaxy Tab 10.1 here in the states, with the Court of Appeals siding with the iPad maker earlier this week “on the question of whether an iPad-related design patent is likely valid.” The news is sure to make tensions that much higher when both CEOs of Samsung and Apple meet for court-moderated settlement talks. Hey, at least consumers can go for the $399 Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, which is safe from this completely out-of-hand patent situation.
