Apple and HTC Ordered by Judge to Meet in Court on August 28

Lawsuit GavelConsumers aren’t the only ones fed up with Apple’s patent shenanigans. Just days after the ITC imposed an import ban on the One X and EVO 4G LTE, the U.S. District Court of Delaware on Thursday ordered the Cupertino company and HTC to meet face-to-face on August 28 to work out its legal differences. If you remember, an incident from late last month called on Apple to meet with Samsung at the end of May to settle its ongoing court battles. Apple CEO Tim Cook has said he doesn’t enjoy lawsuits, so we’ll see how nice his company plays when it meets with its competitors. In an ideal world, all these suits would be thrown out and gone for good, but that’s unlikely to ever happen. Let’s hope the talks between the companies are at least positive.
