Apple’s iPad Mini will allegedly be thinner than Apple’s current batch of iPads, according to a new report that suggests Apple will employ a new thin-film touchscreen technology in the tablet. The report comes from DigiTimes, which isn’t always the best source for Apple rumors, but it does suggest that Apple will launch the iPad Mini during the fourth quarter of this year. Sources speaking to the site said that Apple is expected to sell as many as 7 – 10 million iPad Mini devices this year. The most recent rumors have also suggested that the tablet could carry an affordable price tag between $200 and $250 and will not sacrifice on the hardware already available on the latest iPads. The only trade-off is that it will come equipped with a smaller display.
