The powers that be at Facebook seem to think that photo sharing is the bee’s knees. After spending $1 billion on Instagram, the house that Zuckerberg built is bringing the staff responsible for Lightbox into the fold. Co-founders┬áThai Tran and Nilesh Patel will be lending their HTML5 friendly skills to the social network in roles that have yet to be defined. In the meantime, if you’re a current user of Lightbox and have anything sitting on its servers, you’ll want to download your treasured memories as soon as possible, as the service is set to fade to black on June 15th.
