Huawei Ascend D1 Passes Through the FCC

The Huawei Ascend D1 has kept a low profile, compared to its quad-core sporting siblings, since its announcement during Mobiel World Congress. That doesn’t mean the China-based manufacturer isn’t laboring away trying to get the device ready for its U.S. debut, however. The Ascend D1 passed through the FCC on Monday, which didn’t really reveal any secrets about the phone, but did confirm that quadband GSM and pentaband HSPA+/WCDMA radios are in tow. The dual-core Android device appears to be on target for its planned second quarter release, and we wouldn’t be surprised to see it land on T-Mobile.
