The HTC Desire C — also codenamed the HTC Golf — has been the subject of rumors and speculation since back in March when its EXIF data was revealed in an image posted on the web. Last week, the budget handset showed its face for the first time in a leaked image, and today we have the final piece of the puzzle: specifications.
Sources for GSMArena have gotten their hands on the Desire C’s internals, in addition to a leaked press image — leaked by Vodafone Portugal — which shows the handset’s front and back in all its glory. So here’s what you can expect from this entry-level Android handset:
HTC Desire C Specifications
- 3.5-inch display (320 x 480)
- 600MHz processor
- 5-megapixel rear-facing camera
- 4GB internal storage
- 1,230 mAh battery
How much RAM the Desire C will pack is still a mystery, but according to previous reports, we’re looking at 512MB.
Of course, those specifics are hardly going to get the majority of you too excited. But if you’re in the market for a budget Android handset, then the Desire C has one thing worth shouting about: It’s powered by the Android 4.0 operating system, which makes it a very attractive entry-level device.
The Desire C is expected to sell for less than €200 (approx. $257), but it is yet to get a release date.
What do you think of the Desire C?
