Those of you waiting to get your hands on Nokia’s flagship Windows Phone handset in the U.K. will be pleased to know that today is your lucky day. The Lumia 900 is now available to purchase from British retailer Phones4U, which has exclusivity on the handset until May 27.
The U.K. version of the handset will reportedly run the latest Windows Phone release, complete with “some Tango features,” according to SlashGear. It will be available on O2, Orange, or Vodafone, with contract prices ranging from £20.50 (approx. $33) to £46 (approx. $74) per month.
However, if you want the handset for free — without paying an up-front fee — tariffs start at £36 (approx. $58) per month.
The Lumia 900 is a little different for U.K. users. It features the same 4.3-inch ClearBlack AMOLED display, the same 1.4GHz single-core processor, the same 512MB of RAM, and the same 8-megapixel camera. However, in place of its LTE chip (which is useless in the U.K. without LTE networks) there’s HSPA+ connectivity with download speeds up to 42Mbps.
On May 27, Phones4U will lose its exclusivity and you’ll also be able to pick up the handset directly from your favorite carrier, or from other retailers.
