One of the more exciting accessories announced alongside Samsung’s Galaxy S III was its Wireless Charging Kit. Wires? So passé. Unfortunately, consumers are looking at a lengthy delay before the technology hits the market.
A new report suggests the kit won’t be hitting stores until September at the earliest, four whole months after the Galaxy S III is released in Europe. So close, yet so far. The news actually doesn’t come as a huge surprise considering the accessory was absent from last week’s S III announcement in London.
Samsung hasn’t given an official response to the news, but speculation around the Web is laying blame on the Korean company’s A4WP initiative with Qualcomm. The future is almost here, Buffalo.
