AT&T Bails on Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket HD Launch Plans

AT&T has officially canceled all plans to launch Samsung’s Galaxy S II Skyrocket HD. AT&T originally announced during the Consumer Electronics Show in January that it would deliver both the Galaxy Note and the Skyrocket HD to consumers later this year, although consumers waiting for the Skyrocket HD were left out in the cold. “AT&T and Samsung have agreed to cancel plans to offer the Galaxy S II Skyrocket HD,” AT&T said in a statement obtained by Engadget. “We are concentrating resources on other products to bring exciting experiences to consumers.” It’s likely that the carrier will instead offer the Galaxy S III which we’d argue is a much better phone anyway.
