Apple Drops Refurbished iPad, iPad 2 Prices By $20-$50

If you’ve been waiting for the perfect time to snap up a cheap iPad directly from Apple, then wait no more. The Cupertino company has now slashed between $20 and $50 off its first- and second-generation refurbished iPads, with prices starting at just $349 for an original Wi-Fi iPad with 32GB of storage.

If you want a 3G-capable model, prices start at $379 for 16GB of storage, $449 for 32GB of storage, and $549 for 64GB of storage.

Want a FaceTime camera and a dual-core A5 processor? Then you can pick up the Wi-Fi iPad 2 with 32GB of storage for just $399. For the Wi-Fi + 3G iPad 2, prices start at $449 for 16GB of storage, and rise to $529 and $629 for the 32GB and 64GB models respectively.

The 16GB Wi-Fi only models for both the first- and second-generation iPads have now sold out. The models that are available are unlikely to stick around for too long, so you might want to snap yours up quickly. Unfortunately, the new iPad with that high-resolution Retina display isn’t available as a refurbished device just yet.

Those prices are likely to be a little steeper than second-hand models you may have seen on eBay, but of course, the great thing about buying a refurbished model from Apple is that every device is kitted out with new components to make it look brand new, and they all come with a standard one-year warranty like every new Apple product.
