“The Future of Gameplay” Coming From Sony at E3

With E3 2012 looming and the confirmation that no next generation consoles are going to be announced, we’re getting a bit antsy to see what will be shown off at this year’s expo. Sony has thrown us a bone with a bit of info on their official E3 2012 page; they promise to “announce the future of gameplay and innovation.”

Sony’s E3 site goes on to say that the company’s plans for this year include announcing the new PlayStation lineup, products, and services. Sony plans to show off some of these goods with over 200 playable kiosks available for E3 attendees to get their hands on the latest and greatest from Sony.

A lot of the focus for Sony this year is speculated to be around the new PlayStation Vita. Sony will try and make an effort to use E3 as a way to get the word out and convince consumers to try out the new handheld. This makes sense since the Vita isn’t exactly selling like hotcakes.

We’re not exactly sure what Sony means by “the future of gameplay and innovation.” It could simply be some word play used to express excitement for their E3 lineup, or it could actually be something new and “innovative.”

To find out what Sony has in store for us at E3 2012, make sure you tune in and catch their keynote on June 4th. If you happen to miss it, make sure to check in with TechnoBuffalo coverage of the entire E3 event.
