If the Galaxy S III didn’t float your boat, worry not! Samsung’s cross-country rival LG has chosen quite an opportune time to steal a little bit of the limelight from Samsung’s newborn flagship by announcing its new Optimus LTE2. Now besides an awkward moniker, LG’s newest smartphone has a very interesting set of specs: a True HD IPS display, WPC-backed wireless charging capabilities, Android 4.0, a 2,150mAh battery and did we mention 2GB of RAM? There’s still no word on what type of CPU will be calling the shots for this rising monster, but with literally twice the RAM of the average “superphone,” we’d expect some type of quad-core chip. Scheduled to launch on at least three Korean carriers sometime this month, we’ll definitely have our eyes and ears open for the Optimus LTE2’s arrival. Your move, Samsung.
