Motorola Mobility Defeats Apple in Finger Swipe Patent Suit

Motorola-Apple

Motorola Mobility has defeated Apple in a patent-infringement suit related to finger-swipe technology. Judge Richard A. Posner made the ruling official on April 27th, but there are several lawsuits ongoing between the two firms and a trial is currently scheduled for June 11th. “Apple contends that the finger swipe is equivalent to a finger tap because the two gestures are interchangeable,” Posner said in a docket, according to Bloomberg. “If consumers distinguish between the two, they are not interchangeable.”
