We’ve seen some pretty awesome limited edition Xbox 360s over the years. This isn’t one of them. Dubbed the ‘Xbox 360 Celebration Pack’, this particular console is plastered in a big, bright Union Jack, and comes with plenty of extras for £249.99 (approx. $405).
The bundle is set to make its debut on May 25, just in time for you to snap it up and show your support for Great Britain at the 2012 Olympic Games. It hasn’t actually been announced by Microsoft yet, but Amazon.co.uk accidentally advertised it early before removing the listing a short while later.
In addition to the limited edition 4GB console and a wireless controller, the bundle includes a Kinect sensor (also emblazoned with a Union Jack), copies of Kinect Sports and Kinect Adventures, and a three-month Xbox LIVE Gold subscription. That’s not bad when you consider the bundle is only around £15 (approx. $24) more than a regular 4GB Kinect bundle, which doesn’t include the three-month Xbox LIVE card.
Microsoft has refused to comment on the bundle’s existence (it’s probably too embarrassed about it) but we’re expecting to hear something official in early May.
What do you think of the Union Jack Xbox 360?
