Apple Silently Ends Chomp for Android

Following Apple’s acquisition of Chomp earlier in the year, many wondered what the future held for Chomp’s Android app. It appears that the question has been answered, as the app has now been pulled from Google Play and discontinued on Android. This may not be too much of a shock, but it does make us wonder what the future holds for Chomp’s partnership with Verizon. As GigaOm notes, the discontinuation could be good news for AppsFire and other competing app-search services that have fought for additional users.
