Google Begins Selling Galaxy Nexus For $399

Verizon Samsung Galaxy Nexus feat

Google on Tuesday announced that interested customers can purchase an unlocked Galaxy Nexus for $399 directly from the Google Play store. Once upon a time, Google sold phones through its own online store, but stopped selling the Nexus One in favor of allowing its carrier partners to push devices instead. Perhaps Google is testing to waters to see how direct sales of its rumored Nexus tablet will pan out this time around. In either case, $399 for an unlocked phone is a solid deal, especially one with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, a 5-megapixel camera, NFC and much more.
