Huawei’s T-Mobile myTouch Hits the FCC

After much speculation that Huawei would have the honors of producing T-Mobile’s next myTouch device, it appears that a recent FCC filing has now turned speculation into confirmation. FCC documents referring to Huawei U8680 as “T-Mobile myTouch” also reveal that the device will support 850/1700/1900 UMTS bands. The filing is pretty much slim on details other than the supported bands, however. Originally thought to hit retail this spring, the going word now is that this new myTouch will land sometime this summer. Huawei will be the third to offer a myTouch-branded device, joining LG and HTC. As for you myTouch hopefuls out there, hopefully we won’t have to wait too much longer to see what makes this thing tick.
