First HTC One X Software Update Rolling Out Now

HTC officially released the first software update for the European retail version of the One X on Wednesday. The 30MB patch will bring the software version to 1.28.401.9 and can be installed by visiting Settings > About > Software Updates > Check Now. We haven’t seen the update come across our review unit yet, but Android Central said it offers several minor fixes such as displaying the on-screen menu properly in several applications, tweaks to automatic brightness issues and a battery life issue. The update does not upgrade the system to Android 4.0.4. In other words, your One X will still run Android 4.0.3 after the update is applied.
