Motorola Planning to Launch DROID RAZR HD, Photo Suggests

DROID RAZR HD

Every once in a while a phone is leaked not through an image of the phone itself but through a photo the phone actually captured. This is one of those cases; Droid-Life recently discovered that a Motorola employee has been posting photos to Picasa that include EXIF data — the data that identifies the camera a phone was taken with — pointing to a “Motorola DROID RAZR HD.” That phone doesn’t exist yet, of course, which suggests that Motorola is at the very least in the testing phases of such a device. The phone is referred to as the “Vanguish” in the EXIF data and reportedly packs a f2.4 aperture, similar to what’s used in the iPhone 4S, and a 13-megapixel camera. The data also says the phone runs 4.0.3, which suggests it will launch running Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich. It’s unknown when the phone will launch, if ever, or how much it will cost. However, the DROID RAZR HD branding suggests it will be a Verizon Wireless product if it ever hits store shelves.
