Medal of Honor: Warfighter is EA and Danger Close’s next attempt at relaunching the Medal of Honor brand after a few years of leave. The series once stood tall next to Call of Duty, but the most recent game didn’t register much of a blip in the eyes of gamers.
Will that change with this upcoming title?
Warfighter apparently looks to embrace the best elements of storytelling, special forces and gunplay in the military shooter category, as those points are certainly the driving themes behind the trailer at the head of this post. The game also supposedly aims to take the fight away from the traditional theaters of war into a global fight on terror.
Okay, I’m going to ask you folks point-blank because I am genuinely interested in your thoughts as consumers and fans: do you care about Medal of Honor? Between Battlefield 3 and the latest Call of Duty, are you compelled to get excited for another military shooter? Or, is the market now saturated to the point where you only have the time and patience for one or two games?
As more comes for Medal of Honor: Warfighter, we’ll have it. The title is set to release for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC platforms on October 23rd of this year. Will you be snagging it?
