If you live in the U.K. and have been waiting for Huawei’s quad-core Ascend D Quad smartphone, your wait may soon be coming to an end. In a chat with PocketLint, the Chinese manufacturer confirmed that its quad-core Ascend D Quad will be arriving in the U.K. sometime later this year. Announced at this year’s Mobile World Congress, the Ascend D Quad features a 4.5-inch 1280 x 720 display, Android 4.0 and Huawei’s homegrown 1.5GHz K3V2 processor.
In addition to discussing its plans to bring the Ascend D Quad to the U.K., Huawei also revealed that it will be releasing its slim 6.68mm Ascend P1 S and Ascend P1 in the United Kingdom as well. This attractive trio of smartphones is definitely a great starting point for Huawei, a China-based phone maker still trying to make a name for itself outside of its home market. But with Samsung, Apple and HTC jockeying for smartphone supremacy, Huawei will definitely have some steep competition as it tries to win over consumers.
