Nokia Lumia 900 white

The Nokia Lumia 900 has been labeled “the Windows Phone you’ve been waiting for” by TechnoBuffalo’s own Todd Haselton. And if you’re in the U.K., the wait will soon be over, because the handset is now available to pre-order.

You can “pre-register” for the Lumia 900 from Carphone Warehouse, which will let you know when ordering is available. Or you can pre-order today from Phones4U with prices starting at £36 (approx. $57) per month. The device is available in both black and white (Phones4U only) with a selection of carriers, including O2, Orange, and Vodafone.

Carphone Warehouse has its release date advertised as simply “May 2012,” but Phones4U is more specific, promising delivery by April 27. Furthermore, pre-order with the latter and you’ll also receive a free Nokia Play 360 wireless speaker.

The U.K.’s Lumia 900 isn’t too different to that sold in the U.S. Obviously LTE connectivity has been stripped out in favor of HSPA+, but other than that, both handsets are exactly the same. It sports a 4.3-inch ClearBlack AMOLED display, a 1.4GHz processor, 512MB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, and an 8-megapixel camera.

Will you be pre-ordering the Lumia 900 in the U.K. today?
