More than just a few owners of the new iPad have taken to Internet forums to complain about weak Wi-Fi signal issues. According to 9to5 Mac, Apple is now officially investigating those issues and has alerted its AppleCare support teams to replace any new iPad that’s bogged down by the problem. Most users are complaining that the third-generation iPad is reporting a weak Wi-Fi signal, even when the user is sitting next to a router or in an area where all other gadgets are reporting a full Wi-Fi signal. Here’s one example from a support forum:
I am in a hotel with my laptop and new ipad3. The laptop wifi reception is as strong as it gets, but the iPad only registers a weak signal. Anyone else having similar problems? Any suggestions?
“Symptoms can include, but are not limited to: intermittent connectivity, slow WiFi speeds, and WiFi network not seen,” Apple admitted recently. If you are experiencing this problem we suggest you head to an Apple Store ASAP and get your unit replaced.
