When Tim Cook succeeded Steve Jobs as Apple CEO, the man had some mighty big shoes to fill. While the former COO doesn’t quite have the same charm and presence Jobs commanded, he has quickly endeared himself to the world of business. In fact, Cook was recently ranked as the number one most beloved CEO in the country, above such names as Larry Page, Joe Tucci and Howard D. Schultz.
Based on sentiment within the Cupertino campus, Cook has received a 97 percent approval rating, besting some of the U.S.’ biggest names and beating the rating Jobs received after stepping down in 2011. Cook has been a huge figure within Apple ever since joining the company in 1998. He’s certainly not the same headline maker, but clearly he’s respected in the tech industry. After all, Jobs handpicked Cook for the CEO position.
