Apple has started to send out emails offering full refunds to anyone in Australia who recently purchased a new iPad. The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission said Tuesday that Apple’s “4G” marketing of the new iPad was misleading┬ásince the tablet is only capable of running on 4G LTE networks in the United States. Apple has agreed to post warnings that the new iPad isn’t capable of running on Australia’s 4G LTE or WiMAX networks, Reuters┬ásaid. An Australian court is expected to hear complaints against Apple on May 2nd, although we’re not so sure how strong the case against the firm will be now that it’s offering full refunds.
