A Tour of the HBO Go App for the Xbox 360

by Joey Davidson | March 28, 2012March 28, 2012 1:20 pm PDT

HBO Go, the service that brings HBO programming to users away from their TVs and cable boxes, is now available for the Xbox 360 platform as an application. It’s free to download. In order to use it, however, you’ll need to be a current HBO subscriber through your television provider.

So, no, HBO is not selling their content as an independent service just yet.

If you find yourself in the camp of users trying to figure out how to get the HBO Go app working for you Xbox 360, then the video above is for you. If you just want a quick look at what the app actually looks like in action, well, the video above is also for you. It’s for everyone, really; there’s no guarantee that you’ll all necessarily like┬áit, but we made it for you regardless.

As you’ll see in the clip above, not all cable providers are currently supported in the HBO Go app. We’re not entirely sure why Comcast/Xfinity aren’t listed in the batch as HBO Go works perfectly fine on our computers and tablets. Supposedly the engineers on both sides know about the problem and are working on a fix.

For now, have you snagged the HBO Go app? What do you think?
