If you’ve stuck by AT&T through thick and thin, your loyalty is about to be rewarded. The carrier on Tuesday announced a new loyalty program called AT&T Plus which will offer its best customers preferential service, although the what and how folks meet the criteria is currently unknown. According to The Verge, the program is currently being piloted on a trial basis in Colorado, Minneapolis and Houston, with perks ranging from a special number for customer service enquiries, waived upgrade fees, waived activation fees (second line only) and 25 percent off non-Apple accessories.
Here’s AT&T’s official statement about the new program:
We’re trialing a pilot loyalty program, called AT&T Plus, with a select group of our wireless customers to get their feedback on their interest in this type of program and the benefits they’d like to have from us. Right now, this is only a trial, but based on what our customers tell us, it may be something we look to roll out more widely in the future. It’s an example of our ongoing efforts to deliver a great experience for our customers.
One member reportedly received a $10 Starbucks card as part of the AT&T Plus program, which is pretty negligible when the carrier could instead slice that cost off of a monthly bill. Still, everyone likes free stuff, right?
