It has never been easier to search for apps, games, movies, music, and books for your Android device, with Google Play now available directly via the Google.com homepage.
Visit Google.com today and you’ll notice that a new “Play” link has been added to the navigation bar along the top of the page. As you might have already guessed, clicking on that link will take you directly to the Google Play store — which recently took over from the Android Market, Google Books, and Google Music — where you can find all sorts of content for your Android-powered devices.
Not all visitors are seeing the Play link just yet, according to Pocket-lint. So it may take a little time to rollout to everyone. But it seems that not everyone wants it.
According to reaction on Twitter this morning, some users are complaining that they don’t want to see several links to all of Google’s services on Google.com, and that they were able to find Google Play just fine without it.
What do you think of the new Google Play link? Will this make it easier for you to find Android content, or is it just unnecessary?
