HTCSense.com Shutting Down Service on April 30

by Brandon Russell | March 26, 2012

HTCSense.com closingHTC announced on Monday that the company’s HTCSense.com cloud service will be shut down come April 30. Notices have gone out to folks with contacts, messages, footprints and call history uploaded on HTC’s remote storage locker, with instructions on how to download their data. Users have a little over a month, but once the date passes, “data will no longer be accessible and will be deleted,” the company said. The good news is that HTC says the impending closure is part of a renovation “to improve services and value,” so perhaps a future launch of a similar service is planned. However, HTC does urge users to direct their attention to Google Play for phone location and backup services, perhaps hinting that HTC’s cloud foray will be gone for good.
