An 83-year-old woman named Evelyn Paswall has decided to file a lawsuit against Apple after she walked into a glass Apple Store door and broke her nose. Paswall, who broke her nose at a Long Island store, is suing for $1 million in damages and her lawyer is arguing that Apple’s clear-glass doors are too hard to see. By that argument, wouldn’t Apple’s massive 5th Avenue Store be invisible? Still, we sympathize with Paswall since we’ve all walked into a door at one point or another (we think).
“Apple wants to be cool and modern and have the type of architecture that would appeal to the tech crowd, but on the other hand, they have to appreciate the danger that this high-tech modern architecture poses to some people,” Paswall’s lawyer Derek T. Smith told CBS.
We’ll keep you updated on how this turns out. For now our sympathies go out to Ms. Paswall.
