iPhone 4 LTE

It seems that iPhone rumors are coming at a breakneck pace as of late, and we’ve got a few more for you to ponder this weekend.

According to iMore, the release for the iPhone 5 – or new iPhone if Apple drops the numbering system as it just did with the iPad – is going to be in the fall as the iPhone 4S was in 2011.  According to their sources there are also some information as to what new features we can expect this year:

  • Similar if not same sized screen (currently 3.5-inch but not set in stone)
  • 4G LTE radio
  • New “micro dock” connector
  • Fall/October 2012 release

The reason for the “micro dock” is that Apple needs more room in the device to fit in things such as the 4G LTE radio in to the already cramped space. What it will mean for all of the 30-pin connectors we’ve accumulated over the years is any one’s guess at this time.

How correct are these rumors? As with all things Apple we won’t know until CEO Tim Cook hits the stage and announces it, but as rumors go, these look fairly believable.
