Nokia Ready to Cut 1,000 Jobs at Finland Plant

Nokia on Thursday said it has finalized its plans to lay off 1,000 workers from one of its plants in Salo, Finland. The Finnish phone maker will reportedly let most of the workers go by the end of June. Reuters┬ásaid the remaining plant workers will continue to work on designing and building Nokia’s European phone models. Nokia originally announced its intentions to cut the Salo workforce in February.
