Huawei Ascend D Quad May Begin Shipping in July

Huawei took the wraps off of its quad-core Huawei Ascend D Quad during Mobile World Congress but, at the time, failed to provide a timeframe for when the phone would hit store shelves. According to Chinese news source CNMO, however, the phone could enter mass production in June and begin shipping in July. CNMO┬ádidn’t say exactly where┬áthe Ascend D Quad would ship in July, but we expect it will land in China first followed by an international launch.

The Huawei Ascend D Quad is equipped with a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, a 4.5-inch display with a 1280 x 720-pixel resolution, an 8-megapixel camera and much more. It will no doubt compete head to head with the HTC One X, which has already been announced for AT&T, if it eventually lands on U.S. store shelves.
