Huawei took the wraps off of its quad-core Huawei Ascend D Quad during Mobile World Congress but, at the time, failed to provide a timeframe for when the phone would hit store shelves. According to Chinese news source CNMO, however, the phone could enter mass production in June and begin shipping in July. CNMO didn’t say exactly where the Ascend D Quad would ship in July, but we expect it will land in China first followed by an international launch.
The Huawei Ascend D Quad is equipped with a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, a 4.5-inch display with a 1280 x 720-pixel resolution, an 8-megapixel camera and much more. It will no doubt compete head to head with the HTC One X, which has already been announced for AT&T, if it eventually lands on U.S. store shelves.
