Nokia announced on Tuesday that, over the next few hours, updates for Nokia Drive, Maps and Transport will be available to Lumia Windows Phone users.
Nokia Drive has been updated with speed limits for most roads, including audible warnings if you’re going above the speed limit. Nokia also added an offline option that allows you to download country maps for driving when a wireless signal isn’t available.
The Nokia Maps product was updated with a new “favorites” feature that allows users to star and share locations via SMS, email or social networks. It now also supports traffic conditions in the US, Russia, Austria, Canada, Brazil, Mexico, South Africa, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, Sweden, Finland, the UK, France, Spain, Ireland, Netherlands, India and the United Arab Emirates.
Nokia Transport has been updated with a favorite destination feature, which allows a user to navigate to a specific location, using public transport, from anywhere within a specific city. Nokia Transport is supported in 510 cities across 46 countries. A public transport timetable feature is available in 86 cities.
Each of the updates will be available in the Windows Phone Marketplace.
