Apple just released a report stating that users shouldn’t worry if their iPad feels a bit hotter — one group suggests it’s 10 degrees hotter — than earlier generations of the tablet. However, Consumer Reports said on Tuesday that it’s putting user complaints to test and will look into the issue more closely. Consumer Reports is the same outlet that decided not to recommend the iPhone 4 because of antenna-related issues. Apple said during “antennagate” that there weren’t any problems with the iPhone 4’s antenna, but Consumer Reports found there actually was an issue, and Apple reacted by offering free cases. We’ll be keeping an eye out for Consumer Reports’ official findings, which should be published later today.
