Apple Says New iPad Had “Record Weekend;” “Pipeline Full of Stuff” to Announce

During a conference call in which Apple discussed what it’s doing with its extra cash, the company said it set a record weekend in sales with the launch of the new iPad on March 16th. Apple CEO Tim Cook said that the whole company is “thrilled with it” and that the Cupertino-based company has a “pipeline full of stuff” to announced during the rest of 2012 that will leave customers “incredibly pleased.” We can’t wait and we suspect this could mean Apple might be planning to announce the rumored 15-inch MacBook Air, a Siri-powered Apple HDTV and, of course, the iPhone 5.
