Untethered Jailbreak for the New iPad Already Working, but No Release Yet

It seems that jailbreaking iOS devices is getting easier and easier with each release as a new iPad already got hit on release day.

We’d already seen work being done by one jailbreak team on launch day, but all of the various groups were out there working on it, and it seems success was popping up everywhere.  Stefan Esser – AKA i0n1c – posted the video you see above demonstrating an untethered jailbreak.  It isn’t ready for public release as of yet, but it does appear iOS 5.1 and the new iPad are not posing a whole lot of trouble for the jailbreakers.

Our guess?  A public release of at least one of these methods is not that far off.  Will you be jailbreaking your new iPad?
