There have been suggestions that we could see the Canon EOS 5D Mark III by the end of March, and it looks like plans are certainly afoot internally at Best Buy. An inventory shot has been acquired by the folks over at Engadget, revealing an “In Stock Date” of March 25 – that’s next Sunday. The product page on Best Buy’s site still says “Coming Soon,” but it seems the cat has been let out of the bag.
The Mark III will come equipped with an impressive 22.3-megapixel full-frame CMOS sensor, 1080p 24/30 and 720p 30/60 HD video recording, and an obscene 102,400 max ISO. The body-only retail price will run consumers $3,499.00, while the combination of body and an EF24-105mm f/4L IS USM zoom lens will retail for $4,299.00.
