HSPA+ and LTE BlackBerry PlayBooks Spotted at the FCC

PlayBook HSPA+ and LTEIt’s been a long time coming, but it finally looks as though BlackBerry PlayBooks equipped with HSPA+ and LTE  are on the way. Spotted by Engadget, the devices are currently traveling through the FCC’s approval process, though no other information can be discerned from the discovery. Rumors have suggested RIM’s next tablet effort will include a 1.5GHz dual-core processor and NFC support, with a release expected in early April. Research In Motion previously revealed that its PlayBook OS 2.0 update was a big step toward offering a tablet that took advantage of 4G speeds and, with that in mind, it seems the pieces are coming together quite nicely for an impending release.
