While perhaps not quite as out-and-out awesome as the Motorized Patriot (see: Robot George Washington with a Minigun), Irrational Games has just posted the second part of their Heavy Hitters video series in order to detail the Handyman.
BioShock Infinite is set to play host to a grand variety of villains, baddies and ne’er-do-wells. These Heavy Hitters represent the class above the typical peons that players will face up against on the most regular basis. As was explained by Ken Levine, Creative Director and Co-founder of Irrational, in the previous video, the Heavy Hitters serve to take the standard gameplay that players will come to expect in the narrative and break it up with unique elements and mechanics.
The Handyman is an agile, strong, bounding foe with an almost gorilla-esque appearance. As opposed to the Motorized Patriot who constantly hulks towards players with an endless stream of bullets, it seems like the Handyman will work to get right on top of players at all odds. It’s epic, but it also sounds terrifying.
BioShock Infinite will release for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC platforms on October 16th, 2012 in North America. The game is set to release at the worldwide level three days later on October 19th. As more assets and interviews are released leading up to the title’s launch, we’ll be sure to snatch them up for you.
