Nokia Maps with Voice Navigation Now Supported On Android and iOS

Nokia Maps

Nokia announced that its Nokia Maps application now supports voice navigation on Android and iOS devices. But there’s a catch! It’s not for driving and is instead intended for use while walking around urban environments. Kind of a bummer, if you ask us. In any case, one simply has to enter “m.maps.nokia.com” into the browser on an iPhone or Android device to get started with turn-by-turn walk navigation.

We tested the app briefly on a trip to FedEx Kinkos this morning and it worked well. We definitely could have used the service while walking around Barcelona during Mobile World Congress, too, and think it’s probably best for anyone trying to walk around a foreign city. Plus, it’s free, so we can’t really complain.
