Sprint Announces Sprint 3G/4G Plug-in Connect USB Model for Free with Contract

Sprint U602 DS

Sprint just announced a brand new 3G/4G Plug-in Connect USB product that’s free with a new two-year contract. The device will run on Sprint’s 4G WiMAX network where it’s available and will automatically fall back to the carrier’s EV-DO 3G network when 4G isn’t available. We here at TechnoBuffalo much prefer Sprint’s MiFi device, which allows you to share your connection with other Wi-Fi compatible devices, but hey, you can’t beat the price of free, can you?

Sprint says the new modem will work right out of the box without any CD to install, and it will also automatically connect to 3G or 4G networks that are available. The device is compatible with computers running Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows XP, and Mac OS X 10.5, 10.6 and 10.7. It measures just 1.3-inches x 2.9 inches x .55 inches and weighs 1 ounce.
