As unabashed gadget lovers, TechnoBuffalo is always on the look out for the latest innovations in design, function and user experience. Unfortunately, we just don’t have the capacity to cover every product out there and, as a result, many worthwhile products subsequently don’t get the coverage they deserve. That’s why we’re introducing a weekly roundup of Buffalo Gear: a visual collection of some of today’s most awesome gear and gadgets. From electronics, to toys, to stuff for the outdoors, these are products we wish we owned.

Scrabble Typography Edition
Before there was such thing as Words With Friends, Scrabble was the king of word games. Yeah, yeah, who has time for physical board games anymore when everyone has their hands and eyes glued to a smartphone? It’s time to kick it old school, now with a modern flair. Designed as a school project by Andrew Carpener – and then subsequently licensed by Hasbro – the Scrabble Typography Edition introduces a beautiful new board design along with various typeface tiles. The combination is in stark contrast to the cartoony soul of the current Scrabble boards stocked on shelves across the world – Carpener’s creation is almost like an interactive piece of art. Seriously, it looks that nice. In addition, the walnut board is lined with slip-free cork and comes neatly packaged in a minimalist birch box. You can either go for the $200 deluxe edition, or opt for the cheaper version at $50. WinningSolution
When you have the resources to produce a rare machine like the Aventador J, you don’t even need to include a roof, front windshield, or other modern amenities – like an audio system – and folks will still love it. Unveiled in Geneva, TechnoBuffalo got to see this $2.8 million dollar open-air super car first hand, and let us just say that it was quite the stunner. Unfortunately, no test drives were offered, so we didn’t get to see it stretch its 700-hp 6.5-liter V12 engine. We probably never will, either, as only one Aventador J exists, meaning no review units will be sent to our Irvine offices. Sigh. Other features include a top speed of 186MPH, super-fast ISR transmission, permanent all-wheel drive and push-rod suspension. At least we could tell people we got to touch it.
