The new iPad may not be giving Sprint the cold shoulder after all. Once Apple’s event concluded earlier this week, many folks were left to wonder why Sprint wasn’t invited to the party. After all, the only carriers listed to get the new iPad were AT&T and Verizon. Sure, it makes sense that the two largest carriers in the U.S., who already have established LTE networks, would get first crack. But Sprint is working on its own LTE network with plans to roll out fairly soon. With that in mind, Best Buy has the new iPad listed for Sprint in its internal inventory system. Fantastic news, but don’t count on the Sprint-ified new iPad showing up on March 16 when the device goes on sale. Instead, Engadget speculates it may show up alongside the Samsung Galaxy Nexus during the first half of 2012, which is certainly better late than never.
