Google Updates UI on Google Maps with Navigation Beta

Google Maps Update

Google has issued a small, but important, update to Google Maps with Navigation Beta. The new Android application, available for free now, offers a “new, simplified menu” for navigation. That means users won’t have to dig through as many menus to find what they’re looking for. Also, according to DROID-Life, the update has increased the size of the menus, which should make it much, much easier for tapping exactly what you’re looking for. We don’t think you should be using Google Maps with Navigation Beta while driving, it’s probably not safe, but if you do, at least it seems like quickly starting a navigation should be easier than before. Give it a whirl and let us know what you think — just keep the car in park, ok?
