Redbox 2 billion celebration

Redbox passed the milestone of 2 billion rentals this past weekend, and to celebrate the milestone, they’re giving away free DVD rentals today.

It took Redbox around six years to hit 1 billion rentals, but the second milestone of 2 billion took only 18 months. ┬áMaybe people are just more used to seeing the kiosks now, or perhaps it’s because they’ve put a good chunk of the video rental stores out of business, either way, the company is picking up speed.

If you head over to the Redbox Facebook page you’ll find a code for a free DVD rental, and it will also give you a discount on Blu-ray or video game discs if that’s what you’re looking for this evening. ┬áThe deal is only good for today, so the clock is ticking to take advantage of this offer.
